What to Expect
We know it's not always easy visiting a new church. You may find yourself asking these questions: What will the service be like? What are the people like? Will they be unfriendly, or too friendly? How should I dress? Will it be easy to leave if I don't enjoy it? Will they ask me for money? Will my kids enjoy it? Am I welcome if I do not believe in God?
Whether you regularly attend church or are new to church, believe in God or not, we welcome you as our guest! It is very important to us that your visit to Wellspring Worship Center is enjoyable and we are glad to have you.
Here's what you can expect:
Our Sunday Service starts at 10am. If you need directions, click here.
Inside the front door, there will be some friendly people who we call 'greeters'. Our greeters will say hello and answer any questions you have. You will be given a 'bulletin' which has some weekly announcements and other church information. The greeters will direct you to the sanctuary where the service is held.
The service usually begins with a welcome and introductory scripture reading.
Then we have music which we call 'worship'. Our worship is primarily contemporary music and is often upbeat. Our Music Team is composed of drums, guitars, keyboards and vocalists and they do a great job of leading everybody in singing. Our worship style is quite vibrant and expressive and during the singing you might see people clapping their hands or raising them in the air. Worship usually includes about five songs and will last for 30-40 minutes.
The music at Wellspring Worship Center is 'multi-generational worship' so that families can experience worshiping God together. Children, parents and people of all ages join in together.
After the worship time, a leader will bring attention to important announcements and take up a financial offering. We are 100% donation supported but, as our guest, there is no obligation or expectation for you to give. We would prefer that you just enjoy the service. During the offering, we do not pass a plate or basket; instead, people bring their offerings forward to baskets in the front.
As people come forward, the children are dismissed for Sunday School. Children from grades pre-K through 6 make their way to their classrooms. In addition, we provide nursery care with a nursing moms section and childcare for toddlers. Parents can keep their children with them for the entire service if they wish.
Next comes the 'message' from Pastor Craig or another speaker. The message usually lasts about 30 minutes. The messages at Wellspring Worship Center are based on the truths of the Bible, but are also interesting and relevant to every day life.
Our services usually close with a prayer and one more song. After people are dismissed, there will be Prayer Teams available in the front.
All of this takes about 90 minutes total. After the service your children will need to be picked up from their classrooms. We also hope you'll stick around, meet some people and enjoy the coffee and snacks. Wellspring Worship Center is about God and worship, but it's also about community and friendship. We really hope you experience warmth and friendliness at Wellspring.
